Hi List. Many of you may be interested in this link. It shows the Gillespie Migration from 1850 to present. Rick Gillespie Hamrich Software offers a neat little search feature that shows you the distribution of any of 50,000 surnames by state. Just type the surname, choose the date range you want to search if other than the 1990 Census, and click the Display button. You see a United States map color-coded to show how frequently the surname occurs in that population. If a name is very prevalent in a state--occurring among 1 in 100 people--the state is shown in red. Blue shades show states in which names occur less frequently. http://www.hamrick.com/names/
