To Maggie Kitts, I have a Hannah Gillespie, who was born in 1827 or 28 in Allegheny Co., PA. I believe her parents were John and Margaret Gillespy, this according to her baptism from the Catholic Archives. I have not been able to find them in the federal census. She married Peter McMahon in 1845 or 46 and they settled in Mercer Co. for ten years, before moving to Butler Co. Iowa in 1855 or so. The 1880 census says that her parents were born in Ireland.
