My information is that JAMES RICHARD GILLESPIE was born ca 1790-1793 in Louisville, Blount County, TN, d 1849 in Lawrence Co.,AL-=- some say he was a Presbyterian Minister. I am searching for his parents- they may have been JOHN GILLESPIE who was the son of WILLIAM & ISABALLA HOUSTON GILLESPIE of Augusta Co., VA JAMES RICHARD GILLESPIE enlisted in the Army in 1814 at Maryville, Blount Co.,TN HE married LUCY JOHNSON on 9 September 1818 in Morgan Co., AL He is buried in Bankhead Forest in the Black Warrior Mountain ,Lawrence County, North Alabama.
