    3. Thanks for your replay, Jean. My grandfather, Lantie Miller Gillespie, was born somewhere in Illinois on 2-19-1882. He and his brother, John, left home when they were early teens and went to Texas. His father was Sam Gillespie, Jr., born in 9-2-1845 somewhere in Tennessee. Beyond that we only know of this father, Sam Sr. who married Naomia Johnson in 1839 and died an unknown date in Illinois (presumably near Peoria). I know it's sketchy but it's all I've got.
