My ancestor was John or Jehu (depending on the source) Gillespie, born 24 Mar 1787, supposedly in Franklin County, VA. He died 28 Feb 1830 in Pickens County, AL. His widow was Elizabeth Coons who was born 1792 in Jefferson County, TN. Their children were: George Washington b. 22 Mar 1816 in TN ?Margaret b. abt 1818/1820 in AL m. Jennings Charles Constantine b. 21 Aug 1821 in Tuscaloosa, AL William H. b. 12 Oct 1826 in AL Sarah Jane Martha ? daughter I would like to correspond with or receive suggestions from list subscribers.
