Dear Connie: According to Billie Steele's records Neoma and John Morgan Gillespie had several children, 2 of whom were Samuel Huston and Francis (Frank) Marion. She states that they both went to Texas. I am very excited that Samuel may be my ggrandfather. I am very curious about Francis Marion. Apparently he and Samuel both ended up in Texas, left to go to Illinois for some reason, my grandfather was born in Illinois and then Samuel and my grandfather Lantie returned to Texas without Francis, where he died in 1917 and is buried in Marlin, Texas. My grandfather Lantie is also buried in Bastrop County, Tx. If anyone has any information on Francis and Samuel I would really appreciate it. It would help me authenticate whether or not this Samuel is indeed my ggranfather.
