GILLESPIE, Joseph A., Sr., 67, of Roanoke, died Thursday, March 25, 1999. Joseph was a retired accountant and was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne G. Bush. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Tessy and Tony Minnick, Roanoke; sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph A. Gillespie, Jr., Virginia Beach, Steven T. Gillespie, Thomas J. Gillespie, Vincent T. Gillespie, John E. Gillespie and Amy Jones, all of Roanoke, Gary G. and Sandy Gillespie, Huddleston; grandchildren, Krystal, Keisha, Bobbi Lynn, Shenandoah, Steve, Valerie, Stephanie, Ashley, Adrian, Joey and Jason; great-grandson, Harrison; brothers, John Robert Gillespie, Alexandria, James and Michael Gillespie, Roanoke; sisters, Mary Hardie, Nora Weikel, Cecelia Crotts, Elizabeth Dean, Helena Gillespie, Sara Rakestraw, all of Roanoke; special friend, Pat Stover, Roanoke. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Saturday, March 27, 1999, at 9 a.m., with the Rev. Randy Rule officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Diocesan Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Friday at 5 p.m., where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
