My Aunt tells me that my GGrandfather, Harry Woollum (b. January 1863 in KY), and his brother, Joseph, were adopted at a very young age by a Gillespie (spelling variation unknown) of "St. Joe." Their father did in the Civil War and their mother died shortly thereafter. Census records indicate that Harry's parents were born in KY. Anybody know of an "adoption" story connecting these two families? Lynne
