I am still searching for the parents of my g g g grandfather GEORGE GILLESPIE born in Ireland 1735, came to America abt 1740 married 1) ELIZABETH YOUNG and married 2) MARTHA ELIZABETH ALLEN. GEORGE GILLESPIE was in Watauga around 1775, lived in Limestone Community , Washington Co., TN and he and THOMAS GILLESPIE (his son) had Seth Smith of PA build a limestone house in 1792. Does anyone have a source for HIS parents ? Some have indicated maybe GEORGE GILLESPIE 1705 and ELIZABETH DUVALL ?? Thanks & have a good Labor Day ! John W.
