I know that my great grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Gillespie was raised in the Dayton area. Her father was Christian Gillespie, who is said to have come to America with his parents. Her mother was Sarah Burns (good Scottish name). These Gillespies traveled to US from Ireland, but were natives of Scotland. Do you have any other info on your Gillespie family, like perhaps names of children, etc. that may connect us? Sarah Elizabeth Gillespie had a brother named Timothy, and there are others, but I don't have the names at this time. I will make attempts to get them though. Here are some of the names that Sarah (called Sadie) named her children: Teresa, Frank Paul, William A., Lillian, Christian, Andrew, Joseph. Hope this helps with a connection. Thanks for your reply.
