Russell and Melissa Steen. 1840 census has a G.W. Russell between age 20 and 30 ( believe this was Copiah county) head of house with one female between 15 & 20 no children yet. 1850 census Rankin county there is G.W. Russell 30 years old living alone could is mother-in-law have taken his children in ( Elizabeth and Isham?) I have seen other info says G.W. Russell died 1849 but found this one on 1850 census.
