Hi, This question is for the people researching the Gillespie name in Washington Co. Pa. Are any of your Gillespie's born in Ireland in the 1800's before immigrating to US? My Gr-Grandfather is Patrick Gillespie born in Ireland about 1840. I think he may have immigrated before 1880. He lived in Cecil, Wash. Co, Pa from at least 1894 and died in 1898. I know there were other Gillespie's in the same area but can't find any connections yet. I've seen postings for Gillespie's in Wash. Co., Pa but never with mention of Ireland.
