    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CiY.2ACEB/1335.1.2.1 Message Board Post: The possible children of Thomas and Hannah Gillespie that I listed in the first message are possible only because they fit the census data. I need the 1850 census, this should show all of Thomas and Hannah's children before they married. But Thomas and Hannah are not in Le Ray or Clayton (I have checked every family in those 2 towns). I'm beginning to suspect they are in the 1851 Ontario census. You are right, all the information about Margaret I got was from your messages. She does fit the 1840 census data, and your information shows she was married in 1855 Clayton: Thomas and Hannah Gillaspie are the only Gillespies/Gillaspies in 1860 Clayton, so there is a high probability they are her folks. There are a few more clues: Thomas Gillaspie in the 1840 Le Ray census is the only Gillespie/Gillaspie in Jefferson Co., NY in 1840 (according to the ancestry.com index). The only Gillespies in 1850 Jefferson Co., NY appear to be (from ancestry.com index) in Lyme: David Gillespie b.1796 NY and his family. Catherine Eliza Gillespie Brown is living in 1860 Clayton, Jefferson, NY with husband Alvin Brown and their first child, Margaret(2)b.NY, possibly named after her sister. The rest of the information I have is about the Browns. JT
