April 15, 1862, near Schuyler Co,MO; d. near Houston, MO (Texas Co) on Feb. 23, 1937. His parents, I believe, were Steven and Betsy Morton Gillespie...who may have died when he and several siblings were young. My incomplete records state he had 1/2 or step-brothers using the name of Galspie or Glasy, who lived at Novinger, MO as late as 1943. Could we be looking for the same J.C.?
