One in particular stands out between 1870 and 1883 in the NE MO area, namely Major Wm. CB Gillespie. He was married with children, but they're not named.He married in 1854.Between 1852 & 54 he also taught school in Sagamon and Christain CO (next to each other in Springfield area)..I believe he married in IL..according to bio in a local history bk. published 1884. He owned newspapers in Kirksville and Macon,MO during these dates. He migrated from PA, to OH, to IL, and then MO. I have no data after 1884 bk. bio. Could this be your William?
