Most people seem to think his parents were Patrick Gillespie and Ann Dennison, although I have seen an LDS posting listing James Gillespie and Jennet as his parents. (Have also seen LDS postings listing Patrick and Ann as his parents.) Our family Bible says his birthdate is October 13, 1743, in Frederick, VA. Is he your ancestor too? Yvonne
