Ontario, married and had several children. He and his elder brother William John Gillespie (known as Jack), although born in Ireland, went with entire family (3 generations) to Barrow-in-Furness England. There was a lot of shipbuilding and steel industry work there, in about 1880. Brothers came to Canada in early 1900's. Great-uncle Jim came out to Vancouver to visit his brother and family several times in the 1950's; brother and wife living then in Deep Cove, North Vancouver, BC.
