    1. Robert Hutton Gillespie: Falkirk 1800-
    2. Our Family Lines
    3. Looking for parents of this Robert Hutton Gillespie. He was born about 1820 in Falkirk and ends up in the Falkirk poorhouse about 1865. His parents are NOT listed in the IGI. He states in his poor relief records that he is related as a cousin to MY Robert Gillespie b. abt 1789 in Falkirk who dies in that poorhouse in 1868. I am hoping that the fathers of both these Robert Gillespie's are brothers and would enable me to link with the rest of the Gillespie's in Falkirk. Any help would be appreciated!! We just recently found that he married Mary Nelson in 1858 at Wolverhampton, Stafford Co. According to their marriage record, Henry's father was William. We are trying to trace when Henry arrived in England and suspect that he came from Co. Mayo. Henry was b. abt 1835, and we know that he had a sister, Mary b. abt 1840 who married James Connor also at Wolverhampton in 1859. Both couples came to US by 1861. We also think Henry may have had a brother, Patrick b. abt 1820. Do you think there could be any links to your Gillespies? Donna

William Cooper, a coach driver in Cumberland Pl, England Robert Hutton Gillespie applies for poor relief in Falkirk. What I need to know: William Gillespie who had the son named Robert ( b. abt 1802), had an unknown brother who also had a son named Robert ( b. abt 1789 and who would be m gggrandfather) Who are the parents and siblings of William?? If I can get these answers, I should be able to link up with the rest of the many Gillespie's in Falkirk.
