She is married (22 Sept 1908) to John Sullivan Scully, Jr. (1873- ??). John Scully is the son of John Sullivan Scully and Mary Elizabeth Negley. The family may have lived in the Allegheny Co., PA area. John Scully and Mary Gillespie were the parents of five children: Jane, b. abt 1909; John Sullivan, III, b. abt 1911; Thomas, Eleanor and Mary (all b. bef. 1920). I think that Mary Hanna Gillespie may be related to my Mitchell family (in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA) as well, but no information about her aside from the marriage. Also interested in information about the family of John Sullivan Scully, esp. his children. Bill Muller (a Negley)
Hi list Not posted for a while and I wondered if researching this name in Sheffield UK. I have the marriage certificate dated 1 October 1889 of Sarah Ellen KENNY to Edward CLASBY but I cannot find them on the 1891 and 1901 censuses together with Sarah Ellen's daughter Sarah Ann who was born 1888. I understand that CLASBY is a variation on GILLESPIE. I was told by a daughter that Sarah Ellen married firstly an Edward CONNOR, then a GILLESPIE, than a MOORE so this is proving to be a very hard brick wall. I have Sarah Ann's birth certificate and no father is stated, her first marriage gives no father, but her second marriage states Edward CONNOR as the father. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated June Chatterton Sheffield, UK www.junechatterton.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk Researching: BENSON, BRADFORD, CHATTERTON,CLASBY/GLASBY, FIELDSEND,HAWLEY,KENNY, LEMONS,MITCHELL I am also interested in: CONNOR,GILLESPIE, MOORE who may have married an Sarah Ellen KENNY
