Hi Allen CORNELIUS and Milly NICKERSON were married 13 Feb 1827 in Madison co KY, John NICKERSON was the bondsman. There are a couple of other Madison co KY marriages that involve CORNELIUS boys to GILLISPIE sisters. Both marriages have consents by Phillip GILLISPIE as father of the bride(s). George F. married Lena 4 Mar 1839 with James HENDRON as bondsman & Lorenzo D. married Permelia 11 Jul 1842 with George as bondsman. Let me know if anything rings a bell. Stan, All I have on this side of the family is what I have shown...my grandmother was Evelyn Gillespie. I do know that her mother, Alice Nickerson was the daughter of William Nickerson and an unknown Riley, they were both born in KY...don't know what counties they were born in. My grandmother has been gone since 1987 and she was the youngest and her mother (Alice Nickerson) died when she was only 9 months old....she did not know much about her family! Hi, I'm trying to find details of a KY marriage that took place in 1911, between James Gillespie and Eliza McDonald. Do you have that record? I'm actually looking for parents of Garland Miller and Eliza Ann Gallaspy, who were born in AL, but whose brother, John G., was born in KY 1n 1910. I'm wondering if John's mother died in childbirth, and his father (James?) married Eliza. Thanks, Nita

I am looking for a book/pamphlet titled "Gillespie Sketches" written by John W. D. Wright of Carbondale, IL. A request to the Jackson County Historical Society produced another pamphlet, "Archibald Gillespie in CA" by the same author, but they didn't seem to have any info on the former. If you can be of any assistance in locating this booklet, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thank you. Mary Lee
