My Gillespie line also goes back to Virginia, 1798, when my eldest (Henry) was born. I do not know what part of Virginia. He moved to AL where his children Patrick Henry, Robert and William H. were born in the 1840s. All three sons eventually moved on to Yell Co AR. I find the name spelled Gillespie, Galaspie, Gillaspie, Gillaspy, and so on. By the time my ancestors made their way to Texas the name was spelled Glaspie, which we still use today. How do you have that George Gillespie (born 1735 in Ireland and died 1803 in Virginia) married Elizabeth Young and Martha Elizabeth Allen. I have that he married Mary Moore and Mollie Faris. My great aunts also believed that the parents of George might have been George Gillespie and Elizabeth Duval. Is the George that you are talking about a different one than the one I have? Gillespie first married a Sarah Mullin in 1864 in Rochester, Pa. They both lived outside of Ellwood City in Rock Point at the time. They moved to Columbiana Co, Ohio in1866 where he became the Supt. of the Grafton Iron Works. He married Tamar Jane Sinclair after his first wife died.
