    3. My Gillespie line also goes back to Virginia, 1798, when my eldest (Henry) was born. I do not know what part of Virginia. He moved to AL where his children Patrick Henry, Robert and William H. were born in the 1840s. All three sons eventually moved on to Yell Co AR. I find the name spelled Gillespie, Galaspie, Gillaspie, Gillaspy, and so on. By the time my ancestors made their way to Texas the name was spelled Glaspie, which we still use today. Does anyone know my Henry? My great aunts also believed that the parents of George might have been George Gillespie and Elizabeth Duval. Is the George that you are talking about a different one than the one I have?
