Write to the MA Archives (see info. on MA GenWeb site) for Henry's birth certificate. They will probably be able to locate it. It will tell where he was born and his parents' names. Then you can narrow down your census search. Look for records on microfilm at your local LDS Family History Center. MA kept great records and you should have no trouble finding Henry and tracking down birth, marriage and death records for the family. Have you searched the LDS online? I found everything I needed about my Giffords from the above sources. -----Original Message----- From: Damguire@aol.com <Damguire@aol.com> To: GIFFORD-L@rootsweb.com <GIFFORD-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Wednesday, August 04, 1999 11:41 AM Subject: Re: [GIFFORD-L] Henry Gifford, Carver MA >I am also looking for a Gifford in the southeastern/MA area: Henry A. >Gifford, b. 1861 and died 1956.
