Dear Gordon & other GIFFORDs, I had such hopes for the Gifford-Allison connection in the cemetary. But I remember now your tale about the rotweiler....LOL. My grandmother Mary Ellen GIFFORD McMackin (b 1875 Lake Pleasant PA) used to go back "home" to PA to visit her family. I do know that her brother John GIFFORD went to Indiana to farm, and grew onions, and she may have brought her mother to live with her in Lake County OH, so it's possible there are some GIFFORDs buried where there their offspring wound up living.
