As you do Gifford research, has anyone found any evidence that John Furman b Oct 1766 Newtown LI, NY married Elizabeth Gifford b New York abt 1769. She is presumed to be the granddaughter of Jonathan Gifford b 25 Mar 1704 Dartmouth, Mass. Name of her father unknown. This marriage is suggested by a preponderance of evidence, but seeking further documentation. Any help will be appreciated.
