I am looking for the ancestry of my ancestor Alexander Gifford. Alexander was an architect and seems to have travelled widely in the East. A native of Massachusetts, he may have lived in NY and PA for a short time before settling in the City of Baltimore, Maryland. He was born in circa 1760 - 1775. His will was proven in 1823. Here is the chart of his wife and children: Alexander Gifford - father, b. Mass.; d. Maryland Mary_____ born and died in Maryland Married before 1801. Children: 1. Elizabeth Gifford 1801-1848 - m.
