Hi All, I have read of this Gideon Gifford of Rochester, MA and Duchess County, NY. I am wondering if anyone knows of my ancester James Harvey Gifford (aka Harvey Gifford) born abt 1795 perhaps Dartmouth, MA married to Lydia Tibbets on 30 Nov 1820 in Dartmouth, MA? When I read of Rochester and Duchess County I bet that this James Harvey is at least a grandson of Gideon because James's daughter Hannah S. Gifford b. abt 18 Aug 1822 husband's parents Thomas Hitte and Nancy Mosher were from the same area and went to Duchess County to get married on 15 April 1815. Richard Arruda
