Greetings to all Gifford descendants, Do all Giffords descend from one and only one William Gifford of Sandwich, MA? If so, please kindly give me the names of his wife and of his children. I am searching for the parents of my ancestor Mary Ann Gifford. She was married to Lt. Henry Calvin Stowell of Hingham, Plymouth Co, MA in 1819. Henry was born in 1797 and Mary was born in 1803. According to the death certificate of their daughter Johanna Gifford Stowell1850 census, her mother Mary Ann Gifford was born in "Mass." I am confused because in the 1850 census for Maryland Mary Ann was listed as from "NJ". Henry and Mary got married in Maryland. Henry died in 1825. Mary married (second) to John A. Richardson. I would be eternally grateful for any additional information or any suggestions or any clues. Kind regards, Jean Boutcher ------------- On Sat, 19 Feb 2000 10:25:11 EST User1934@aol.com writes: >Is there anybody out there who might be able to tell me who the Isaac >Gifford >age 72, Susan age 67, and Sarah age 24 are?
