I know that my Grandfather, Charles Lester Gifford, was born 3-15-1861 in Hickory Grove Iowa to John & Martha Wakefield Gifford. On Jan. 18,1884 he married Mary Louise Sperry at Waverly Iowa. She was born 2-26-1863 in Tooele Utah. I've not been able to find out why or how she got to Iowa. It seems that they turned around & headed back to this Country becoming a very well off rancher & horse breeder. Trotters. I never knew any of them. My Daddy was the youngest of 14. He was raised by a Sister. Many of the names you mention are indeen, family names. I would LOVE to have copies of your pictures. Let me know how much money you will be needing. Daddy must have been scared to death of kids as there is only my brother- Charles Lester & myself- Ramona Marilyn (I was named for my mother. Ramona Margret Jennings, an Irish lass Daddy married & brought home. I might add very much to the disgust of his father! Cut my father right out of the family, the old fool did!)
