Dear Susan, What a nice letter/info you shared! I have not done all the posting to lists as I should yet, but hopefully there's a connection here anyway. My great-great grandmother's maiden name was RACHEL GIFFORD, born in OHIO about mid-1800's. She married Gerry (Gerold?) SNYDER, and their daughter, Clara was reportedly born in Findlay, OH, HANCOCK County, 26 Nov 1870. This all I have, and cannot document yet. I've researched data bases for Gifford/Snyder, but cannot connect yet. Should I request your photos of Rachel?? Maybe you have some leads for me?
