But in the mean time, I am researching Jeremiah Gifford and his daughter Elizabeth b 1769 . He appears with his brothers Henry, Ellihu, and Obadiah in the 1800 Census for Berne and Rensselaer Albany County New York, having, it appears, migrated from Dutchess County. They is also listed in the 1790 Dutchess Co Ny. Census. It is assumed by preponderance of evidence, she married John Furman b Oct 1766. If interested I can elaborate.
