    3. I have no idea where Grinnel is, or even if I have it spelled corectly. The reason I was asking is, I know of a William Gifford whom disappears from records that had a sister that moved to this area . He would be about the correct age to be Alfreds father and this family was noted as being close even for generations . William was from Canada , so I was wondering if this direction was worth following . Since it is a distance off of the main tree , I am not pursuing it too hardily.
