    3. my research has not found a whole lot about William. The New England Directory of Early Citizens (that may not be the exact name--records are not handy so I can check it) identifies William as coming to Barnstable in 1654 and that he was a bricklayer. If you go to the LDS Family History Center near you and look on the Ancestral File on the computer, you will find a line of ancestry for William dating back to the fourth or fifth century, going through a cousin of William the Conqueror back to a king of Finland. Unfortunately, other genealogists that I've corresponded with me tell me that solid proof has never been found for William's parentage in England (evidently there's some confusion about whether Phillip was his father or grandfather), so I'm not sure how accurate it is. I'm still verifying the information further down the line on my ancestors, so I haven't gotten that far as yet. Hope this helps, Annie Savidge in Idaho ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
