I have that WILLIAM GIFFORD arrived in the New World ca 1642 but I do not have the name of the ship he arrived on. He was born ca 1615 prob. in England and it is possible that he was the son of Phillip Gifford and his wife Mary Turner Gifford; another source states that he may have been the son of an Anthi Gifford of Dublin Ireland. William and his family were Quakers; he was a tailor by trade. William married twice 1) Patience Russell and 2) Mary Mills, dau of John Mills and his wife Sarah (----). *see note below. William Gifford and his wife Mary Mills were married 16 July 1683. William's children were: Possibly by 1st wife Patience Russell John - 1642-1708 marr. Elishua Crow(ell) Patience - 1644-1675 marr.
