Hi! I have been looking for information on the Gifford family from Oswego, NY for a while, with no luck. Ella Gifford was born 1856 and Married Henry Goodman. She died in Seneca Co. in 1893. Her parents are listed as Alanson Gifford and Julia Osborn. Julia's parents are William Osborn and Sabrina Ketcham. I have some info from the LDS site that lists some Alanson Giffords, but the date of birth seems to suggest maybe the father or grandfather of the Alanson I am looking for. If I could make this connection, it would be a major breakthrough. If anyone out there has any info on the Alanson Gifford family, I would appreciate it.
