To: Calvin Gifford You might be interested in The New England Historical and Genealogical REGISTER Vol. 128 Oct. 1974 and Jan., 1975. The Gifford's were serialized over 10 years. The Jan., 1975 issue states: Probable children of Joseph and Hope Gifford: Ananiah b. 10 mar. 1703/4 probably on the Manasquan River; mar 27 Jan 1733/4 Mary Halstead and had children Amos, Anniah, Joshua, Hannah and Sarah Gifford. Listed in 1748 as a freeholder, in Shrewsbury Twp. of Monmouth Co (GMNJ, 17:40) No further record has been found. The cited issues did not confirm the wives last names until Ananiah Gifford who married Mary Halstead. Wm. Gifford's last wife was Mary Mills but I did not find a Mary Danforth unless I skipped over it. The NEHGR issues quoted wills which you might find interesting.
