Author: stewartfamily10 Surnames: Gibson, Bowman, Rockenbach, Smith, Giffin Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.gibson/5757/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have traced our Gibson line to 1765 birth with a George Gibson ( Blacksmith in the Northern Liberties, married to a Rebecca, died 1857), followed by son, George in 1800 d.1835( Blacksmith in Northern Liberties) . This George had sons George, Francis, William Henry and a daughter, Mary Ann. His wife was a Mary Ann who later married Wm H. Bowman. I am trying to find details on an Indentured Servant, George Gibson, listed in 1745 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I believe there may be a connection there. Any ideas would be appreciated.
