I wish I knew! Thank you for writing and posting this information. I am stuck at my Great Grandfather's parents(Henry Elye Gibson 1852 - 1923). I can't seem to find him before 1880. I believe I have him with his mother (Eliza, I think)and possibly a brother, JP, in Three Mile Community of Barnwell county in 1880. So, the area is right, the names are right as are the ages, but nothing so far in 1870. I'm looking image by image and that takes a while! From 1900 until now they are in and around Ehrhardt, Bamberg County, SC and most are buried in the area. I will send an outline descendant tree to your private e-mail address.
