Just speculating..... but wondering if anyone has any information to connect the Lightfoot family to Gibby Gibson d. 1726/27 in Charles City County or to Gideon and John Gibson. I 'think' this Gibby Gibson is Gibson Gibson son of Thomas and Elizabeth [Chavis] Gibson born about 1660... Seems like to have been some connection to the Lightfoot family since he, Francis and Thomas Gibson are buried in the Lightfoot Cemetery at Sandy Point and Col Francis Lightfoot is mentioned in his will. Gideon and John must also be connected somehow since both were indebted to Col Francis Lightfoot. 30 April 1727 George Rawlinson gives his promissory note to Francis Lightfoot-Witness Richard Grinselle. >From time to time Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) receives requests to allow people who have tested with other labs to join one of our Surname Projects. They have always avoided adding results from other labs to their database because of the question of results integrity. FTDNA has recently settled on a solution to this problem. They have just announced that they will offer 12, 25 and 37-marker at a below cost price. Now individuals who have been tested by another lab can join a FTDNA Surname Project. However, this will be offered for a limited time only. Such individuals may fill out a LAB CONVERSION FORM found at http://www.familytreedna.com/pdf/PROMO_GAP.pdf, and send it FTDNA for verification, so that they can enter the order. Due to the fact that this is a below cost offer, they are limiting the time during which it will be available. Those forms need to be filled and returned to by March 31, 2007! This offer is only valid for individuals who have previously had their Y-DNA tested with one of the following companies: Relative Genetics, DNA Heritage, Oxford Ancestors or Genebase. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact FTDNA or me. Valentine Van Zee co-administator Gibson DNA Surname Project http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/g/gibson/
