Some of her siblings were: Andrew Findlay, who married Isabella Steven; Marion Findlay, who married James Duncan; James Findlay, who married Jane McKerrow. Janet married William Gibson in Old Cumnock 19 Dec. 1845. She died 10 June 1904 in Sanquhar parish, Dumfriesshire. He died 8 Dec. 1899 age 76. Their children were: James, bapt. 6 Sept. 1846 in Cumnock, died 25 Nov. 1930 age 84, married Susan Campbell (died 23 Oct. 1931 age 30). Elizabeth Henderson Gibson, bapt. 1 April 1849 in Cumnock William, born 26 Aug. 1854 in Cumnock Elizabeth, born 20 Feb.1856 New Cumnock, died 8 Feb. 1938 age 80, married William Tweedle. I am not sure when the family moved from New Cumnock into Dumfriesshire. I believe William senior was originally born in Kirkconnel or Sanquhar Parish, Dumfriesshire.
