    3. I've no clue about my line and I don't even know another GIBSON: I am the end of my small family. The DNA project sounds wonderful and I can't imagine why descendants aren't mobbing the kit providers. What a wonderfully simple way to gain valuable information! Here's my wall: Harry Henry GIBSON b. 7 Dec 1911 Jackson Co., MO d. 19 Sep 1979 Jackson Co., MO. I am his only child. Harry had a sister, Elsie, who did not have children. his father: Harry Henry GIBSON b. abt 1885 MO (possibly Linn Co., MO) died or otherwise vanished between 1910-1920 (possibly abt 1912) Need to locate his birth family and his death. The 1910 census for Jackson Co., MO says his father was b. KN and mother TN. After six years of searching, I seem no closer to finding anything about him. Pamela Gibson

    3. I have no real Brick wall to my Gibson research, except for finding out who the father of Valentine Gibson is. Some sources of research say Thomas Gibson Jr, some say Nicholas Gibson, some say there was no Nicholas Gibson and some say the first Thomas Gibson. Also, some say my Gibsons come from Scotland, some say from England, and some say that these Gibsons were either Melungeon or Free Colored. I would love to participate in a DNA test, but I am only a female Gibson descendant. I do have two surviving uncles and Three male Gibson cousins, but somehow doubt if giving a cheek swab would be on their list of "to do" things. I have thought of having a Fingerprint DNA test done, but can't afford it right now. Maybe some time in the future. Anita Bingamon -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
