God Bless you, I have been searching for my Gibson line for more than 20 years and you have finally put maiden name to my great grandmother's name. Sarah married Jeremiah Clay in Seneca County, Ohio after first marrying Isaiah BOOROM, 3 JUNE 1843, believed to be from New York Isaiah died within the year and Sarah then married William CROXTON , in 1844, who also left the scene of mortality before she married Jeremiah CLAY 10 April 1845. All this happening in Seneca County. Sarah and Jeremiah then moved to Lucus County, Ohio, with their first three children, Anna Mariah, Francis, and my Grandfather, John Milton. The family settled just outside Toledo in Oregon Township. There they created an are which even to this day is called Clays Corner. This is really quite a story, if you are interested. According to census records, Sarah and Solomon were from Duchess County, New York. From there on my research is a blank page and a frustration. It seems I cannot be of much help to you, but you may have opened a closed door for me and mine. Thank you. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 20, 2006 11:51 AM Subject: Re: [GIBSON] Randolph Gibson This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I have a Solomon Gibson who married Mariah Seaman and some of the forenames of their children are the same as your children for Randolph: Albert, Susan, Sarah. Although I lack documentation, I believe that Mariah Seaman Gibson had siblings named Randolph, Alfred, Leonard, Lewis, etc. and her father's name was Albert.
