Joanne, We descend from the Louisa Co. Va., Gibson's that remained in Virginia. Which George Gibson do you refer to in Jane and George? Our Gibson didn't match anyone in the Gibson DNA project named Gibson or any other surname on FTDNA. The paper trail is accurate so there was a "non-paternity event" or NPE as they call it at FTDNA. I'd like to find a possible person in the 1600's or 1700's that was the biological father for a Gibson in Charles City, New Kent, and areas that became Hanover and Louisa. Any ideas will be welcomed.
