Nothing more is known about Henry Gibson. Sarah(Caperton) Gibson was a daughter of John Caperton, Sr. (b. 1709-1725, Ireland) John Caperton married Mary Thompson in PA and moved to Rockingham Co., VA and settled on the Shennandoah River about 1753. They had met on the ship which brought them from Ireland to PA. They purchased a tract of land in 1755 in Beverly Manor tract of Augusta Co., VA. Alexander Thompson was a witness to the deeds. They were on Christian Creek in 1759 and the next year near Peaked Mountain. Abou 1761 they migrated to the New River area of Bobetourt Co., that now is in Monroe Co., VA. John died after 1765 on the east side of New River just below the mouth of Rich Creek and very near the line of Summers County.
