    3. Gene, I am also looking for Gibson's from Missouri. Could have been Washington or St. Francois counties, since one came from part of the other. My husband's great-great grandmother was Margaret Gibson b. 1846 who married James Henry Williams. They had 8 children. Margaret died bet. 1878 - 1886 in Missouri. James remarried, and his new wife farmed out the female children to work as "domestics". Margaret's parents were Thomas G. Gibson b. bet 1815-1830 in N. Carolina and Permelia "Amelia" Williams born same time, same place. I have found no other info, but believe that Margaret had siblings as well. Does any of this sound familiar? Please let me know. It might be the connection I've been looking for!     3. To the best of my knowledge our are not related. My Gibsons spent time in MO. in Barry, Lawrence, Dallas and Greene counties.
