My Gibson line begins with William Riley Gibson b. 1829 in the Leatherwood district of Henry Co.,Va. He married Ann Eliza Cheely b. 1846, in 1860. Their children were : William O. Gibson b. 1862 married Mary Mattox in Putnam Co.,W.Va. Joseph Gibson b. 1864 Nancy R. Gibson b. 1867 married Thomas Call in Putnam Co.,W.Va. Thomas Jackson Gibson b. 1869 married Libby Theodosia Erwin in Putnam Co.W.Va. Catherine Gibson b. 1871 John C. Gibson b. 1874 George Gibson b. 1876 Delilah Gibson b. 1880 This family moved to Putnam Co.W.Va. in 1880. I have been unable to determine the parents and/ or siblings of William Riley Gibson.
