Here's what I have found on the Internet since; _John C. Gibson b. Jun 1887 in Teayses Valley, Putnam, West Virginia_. John married Rachael Jeanette Campbell in 1913. _John's parents_ were; James T. Gibson b. Mar. 1857 West Virginia/Virginia & Sarah E. (maiden name unknown) b. Feb. 1859 West Virginia. They were married in 1884. They had 5 children; Charles R., John C., William O., Cobett E., & Martha F. Birth dates range from 1885-1896. _John's Gibson's grandparents_ were; William Gibson 1820 Virginia & Martha E. 1828 Virginia. (again maiden name unknown). They had 6 children, Harriett Ann, James T., Lucretia V Gibson, Sarah E. Gibson, William H. & George F. Gibson. As you can see I don't have solid info on where John's family came to Putham Co. from. I have seen conflicting info. there are bunches of James Gibson's out there. Very popular name back then. Hard to know who is who... since I have no paper trail to let me know I'm on the right track.
