Sandy, Do you know anything about the descendants of this John GIBSON and/or can you put me in touch with the descendant who contacted you? My gr-gr-grandfather was Hales GIBSON (born 1848) who lived in Carroll and Heard counties in Georgia (near Fulton County). My grandmother (who was Hales' granddaughter) said his name was John Hale GIBSON, but she never knew him. That's just what she was told and I've found no documents using "John." Anyway, he is my brick wall. I've had no luck in identifying his parents or any siblings. I'm wondering if this Revolutionary War soldier, John GIBSON, might be Hales' grandfather or some relation. I'll clutch at any straw at this point. Thanks in advance.
