My grandfather was Allie Asure Gibson. He was orginially from Cherokee County. His son was my father Robert Gibson. We were the only Gibson's in Pacolet that I know of. Allie's father was Clarence Gibson he married Maggie Pearson but the story goes that he left Maggie sometime between 1906 and 1916. He had two daughters that my grandfather lost touch with Loula Gibson (b. about 1900 and Lillie b. about 1905). His father was John Gibson(B. 1848) from Magnolia St in Spartanburg, he was married to Narcissa.
