This may or may not be a lead but it is the first time I have seen a "WEST" name along with the "GIBSON" name. I have been researching for many years and trying to find Benjamin West's father/mother in N.C. He and his family migrated to Shelby Co., TN where he died in 1850 of asthma. His daughter, Cornelia A. West, married my William Gibson in Mecklenburg, N.C. in 1826. Then, they moved to Shelby County, TN and then on to Greene County, Ark around 1839-40. Do any of you have any information on this family and members. Some of the siblings certainly could have migrated to TX. Any help will be appreciated. I have a great deal of information for the parents of Benjamin West and William Gibson, who was born around 1800 in N.C. Benjamin West was born around 1775 ??
