I tried to order a death certificate for him from Nuckolls County, Nebraska, hoping that a) he had a death certificate made and b) If he had one, someone would have written his parents' name on the record. However, that turned up no results. I am going to be in Illinois at the end of the month doing some ancestry research where I was planning on making a trip down to Tazewell County. I have found that the county libraries in Illinois have very helpful information regarding their county's geneaological records. So, with that said, I will probably spend an afternoon at the library in Tazewell to see if they have anything further on the Gibson family. I will make sure to look at land records as well and will let you know if I can come up with anything further.
